i wanted to get feedback on what people thought about buying a setting I''ve seen online and purchasing a diamond online and having the final outcome be a little more expensive or going and having the setting custom made (hopefully it turns out close to what i have seen online) for cheaper and getting more diamond than what I could get buying the setting online?
both ways i guess are stressful and scary since i haven''t seen the setting in person that i found online i can''t touch and feel and examine the ring but then having it custom made and not coming out the way i want (although i haven''t put any cash down or signed anything)
My thinking is if the custom design does not come out right i can always "fall back" on the online version i''ve seen.
have others had great success with custom made rings? any horror stories about online? or horror stories about custom?
