Hi all

I have been lurking for a little while but wanted to make a post.

I am probably going to propose to my gf next year. For the ring, I have a budget of $10k (and maybe a little more). I have done a lot of research but wanted opinions and input.

So far I know this:
- Band will be platinum
- Likely sidestone
- H&A
- I will probably buy online (Blue Nile) then get it appraised
- 1 carat+
- Would like a unique and high quality diamond

Can anyone help me???

Consider a bad boy like this one after confirming it''s eye clean...I know you said Blue Nile, but you haven''t been around here very long to know better. BN is fine by the way.

Slap it on this, and have a nice day.

Just an idea.

Gotta agree w/ya RG! I was think of that while reading the first post! I like the stone Regular Guy gave you a link for and WF has a lifetime upgrade.

Ummmm......now looking a second time....consider asking JQ to look at the clouds in that recommended one. Tell em I sent you.

Consider this a back up...if a problem. $7835 based on wire pricing.

For all WF options...tell em you''re from Pricescope, and this will give you an associated discount. Paying with wire on top of that adds to it.

Regards,

I''ve noticed that this forum likes Whiteflash a lot. This this due to better service, price, experience?

Shouldn''t I be concerned that this site seems connected with Whiteflash....wouldn''t that be a conflict of interest (i.e. unbiased opinion vs. selling you something)?

Ow no not connected but allot of people purchase from them. They are a great company to work with! There are others that are great like Good Old Gold, ERD, and James Allen and plenty of people use them also with great results. You just need to do a search they all have stones posted. Whiteflash does give a discount which is nice and if you live out of Texas I believe there is no tax. Well good luck!
