Help with asscher cut!

I have browsed through lots of threads in this forum. Here is my final 3:

I have asked for gemologist report and ASET images for these diamonds. Meanwhile, any advice from you guys would be great!

I definitely don't think Stone 1 will pass muster. Stone 2 is iffy. Stone 3 should be interesting to see the ASET. When shopping for asschers, aim to get a table under 65%. The smaller the better.

Hah. I agree with Chrono, I like the D the best, with #2 following. But it looks rather dark. #2 looks dark and might leak in the middle.

Thanks guys! I am leaning towards 2 or 3 as well. I quite like the shape of 2, with the wide corners! . Got to wait for the gemology report and ASET images.

I am happy to report that all three diamonds are very pretty. They are all white in color and eye-clean. In comparing them to each other, diamond item #215868 and #215871 are the top contenders. They have the nicest light performance, brilliance and sparkle compared to diamond item #208865. If you need a tie-breaker between these two diamonds, diamond item #215868 is the largest face-up of all the diamonds. Diamond item #208865 has light leakage and dull spots, making the diamond less sparkly and brilliant.

Diamond 1 crown height 19%


Diamond 2 crown height 17%


Diamond 3 crown height 16.7


Any advice would be great!

I agree, I like number one the best followed by number 3, if you are ok with the shape. I actually owned a slightly out of square asscher and adored it, but had I found one more square with equal performance, I would have chosen it.

You can do better than these if you'll look a little more. I think the 4 I had to choose from were better than any of those. Don't rush. Shop a little more and get an excellent asscher! I chose the second one (H VVS) in the video.

Of those 3 I would say #1.

But as DS posted, I think you will find a nicer asscher from GOG. Call them before you buy.

thanks guys! I am certainly not in a hurry to get one. Ideally would like to have it end of this month before our anniversary. Otherwise, I am quite happy to find another date and proposal manner.

Any suggestions on that would be much appreciated! cheers people.
