Hi everyone,
My saga searching for a stone is coming to a close. I've showed my gf some great bling that's been posted here and she's now solidly in the round brilliant camp with a cushion halo. I blame this _gorgeous_ ring! https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/victor-canera-cushion-halo-engagement-ring.224202/
I spoke with Victor Canera and he sent 6 stones from his inventory over for me to check out. I'm really digging the 1.7 I VS2 but I was hoping to draw on the wealth of knowledge here. Hopefully the links posted below work. Thanks everyone!

All of these stones are ideal. I would go with the I 1.7. More bang for your buck. I'm most positive that a well cut I will sparkle like crazy. Maybe the experts can chime in as I'm going on common sense alone!

I personally think this particular design works well with bigger stones. so 1.7c I VS2

+ another vote for the 1.7 I VS2! I think that the stone will look amazing in Emilya cushion halo!

Almost all responses here will be to get the 1.7 if putting in a halo, especially. The size is noticeably larger than the others.

I am so glad you showed her rings and found out what she really likes! If only everyone would do that!!!

I agree with you and with everyone above in choosing the 1.7 I VS2! Great size, eye clean, nice price. The cushion halo will cover tint from the side. If I had to choose a second, it would be the 1.500 G SI1.

Thanks everyone! I'm attempting to get the ASET sent over just to confirm and I will put that beauty on hold.
My only concern would be the color set against the melee. It seems like most PSers are ok with near-colorless so perhaps my concerns are misguided.

The ASET is provided in the same link and looks great (3rd down from the video). With an I color, there won't be such a dramatic contrast. Melee sparkles differently since they are so small, which also helps.

Yeah, the ASET is right there on the page with the stone. Victor only chooses round brilliants that have excellent ASET images, anyway. We have people here with J color and probably even lower in Victor's halos.
