Help With .4-.5 Carat Diamond Platinum Pave Band

Hi All!

I am in the market for essentially the Tiffany Legacy 2mm band. I thought this would be fairly simple to find as I think it's such a classic eternity band style but I've only found one jewelry store that carries something similar. Looking into the custom route I'm getting quotes of about $2,100. This confuses me because my e-ring with a 1ctw with a 1/2 carat center stone, all I, VS2 or better was only $2,700 and it uses way more platinum than the eternity band.

We are happy to pay what this ring is worth but don't want to get taken advantage of. This is my first foray into buying diamonds so I am on guard that the jewelers may smell fresh meat!

This ring from DeBebians is perfect but I've never heard of this store. I also worry because I know full eternity bands have trouble with the inside diamonds so something local would be nice for warranty repairs. DeBebians isn't local and there isn't a great review on Yelp about someone needing a warrantied repair .

The review about the warranty was for a tungsten ring which deBebians no longer carries. The warranty on diamond jewelry is completely different. deBebians offers a 30 day return/exchange period too in case you receive the ring and decide to return it. deBebians has many positive reviews online from customers who have purchased diamond jewelry.

Custom costs more than a band that is stock that you order. You pay for the time and effort. The only time and effort in a stock band is placing an order. Plus metal prices have probably gone up since you bought your platinum ring.

I personally would look into a second band Tiffany band on ebay from a reputable seller. We can help you with that.
