I'm totally new at this, but it's an once in a lifetime purchase...

What's the better value? Heck is it even a good price?

I understand the difference between the VS1 and VS2, but what about the faint fluorescence, but lower holloway score. After reading the Holloway disclamer, is there really a difference between 0.8 vs 1.3 if people perfer a 1.5 stone anyway?

Help!!!

From the information you listed, the only obvious difference is the clarity, which will be invisible without a loop. Faint flour means almost none, which is a non-issue. (And, lots of people like flour anyway, including me, but faint won't be significant.) The HCA scores are not meant to differentiate good stones, but to screen out poor performers, so they are both good scores.

Are the diameters different on these stones? If they are, the larger diameter stone will look bigger, but only if it is .1mm or greater different.

You could tell us the crown and pavilion angles. Some people have favorite combos there, or they might impact the fire/brilliance balance of the stone.

All else equal, I'd take the less expensive one. Why pay for the extra clarity that you can't see?

I agree with everything lop said. Without anymore info to make a decision on, I would save the $600 and go with the second stone.
