Hi all, I am in the market for an engadgement ring and have only recently been researching the basic and searching through this forum to learn as much as I can. The only thing I know is that my soon to be fiancé- fingers crossed wants a round diamond. I came across a thread recommending Dupuis auctions and think the following ring fits all my criteria. Is thee anything glaringly wrong with this ring. Any thought on where I should start the bidding? I realize this is a very broad question but I'm searching for the best value and an auction may fit the bill. Should I be looking for anything completely different?

What are your priorities?

If you want size for budget, that's a good option.

But if you want performance and light return... not so much.

Also in that size a J diamond is going to look more off white than white unless ideal cut and set differently.
