Help setting a 5.75ct Midnight Gray/Black Spinel

I have an incredible stone from Gary Braun, but its absurdly large: 5.75ct 10mmx10mmx7.6mm Cut-Corner H&A Square.

I thought about a ring - like maybe BooneRings Bookends, but it's a little extreme.

Maybe a pendant? I'm Imagining either very simple (think the Bookends design as a pendant) or something with diamonds....maybe with some of Yoram's french-cut Trapezoids.

Thoughts anyone?

I’ll have to wear my grey from FW around my neck to see,
But I have a wondering thought if it might not retain its best show of color/personalities around the neck compared to hand.

Its tall though! The stone would rise at least 8mm above the finger.

any suggestions about which finger to wear a crazy tall ring on (8.46mm)?

I was thinking either right middle or right ring finger.

Also, how tall was your Gelin Abaci setting with the 2.30ct Octavia?
