Hi All,

I need some expert help locating a diamond with the following parameters:
size: 1ct
cut: ideal, round brilliant
color: G or greater (flexible)
clarity: VS1 or greater (flexible)

Also, what are your thoughts on insisting on a canadian stone or not?

Any suggestions you are willing to offer would be very much appreciated!

Thanks!

I would not pay more for a diamond because it is from Canada.

Country of origin is not a grade like color or clarity.
Diamond material is diamond material.

Frankly, if ethics comes into this purchase, I'd rather buy diamonds from poor countries than from the rich countries.
Poorer countries could use the economic boost.

I think the Canadian diamond industry touts is diamonds as guaranteed conflict-free.
The only conflict up there is that French/Quebec independence thing.

The Kimberly process assures us all diamonds from PS vendors are conflict-free regardless or origin.

please please please some more picks in my (< $6500 price range)!

More expensive than the WF ACA linked at the top of this thread. No go.

Image looks good but the price is a factor compared to the WF diamond?

can you help me find a stone comparable to the whiteflash stone at the top of the thread but from James Allen or good old gold?!!

vs2 is the same as vs1 with the naked eye?

Yes, usually these grades are eyeclean in the majority of cases.
