Hello everyone,
Several months ago I proposed to my fiance after much research on this forum. The engagement ring can be found here: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/fiances-new-1-15ct-oval-halo-by-vc.198636/

It is a 1.15 ct oval halo made by VC.

Now I need to find a matching wedding band. She would prefer a flush fit, so it will need to be contoured. My main concern is will I need to have the wedding band made by VC as well or is it possible to use a different jeweler? I want the rings to match, but I am also sensitive to spending more than I need to on the band. Any advice you can offer is appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

Victor Canera is hand forged as you know and there will be a quality difference which will probably not wear as well and eventually look icky next to VC. VC is heirloom quality. Hand forged metals lasts longer and wears better.

I agree with the fact wedding bands seem over priced. You'll only do this once.

A VC is going to fit the best and that fact is not over rated. I think he gets you to send the engagement ring back and he fits it to YOUR ring exactly, which is wonderful. Getting the band to be the same height as the ering is what is hard to match to make the set look right. If the height is off it looks wonky.

There are women searching on here for years for a good band match for their ering. D

Just my 2cents :)) I like it matching. I like Victor Canera as well. I hope this helped :))

+1 - couldn't agree with her answer more. I know the price stings but in the long run, it's the best choice to make IMO.

+2. It will be worn for 50 plus years!

Agreed, if she wants an exact match the only way to do that is to send it back to VC.

Yep, without a doubt, if she wants a match, please enlist VC!

I'm with the others here - if you try to pinch pennies it will end up costing more to buy the 'cheaper' and an actual VC that you know you want. If it were me and I didn't have funds for the matching band straight away I'd look for a low cost plain option and get an eternity/diamond band for a later anniversary.
Good luck!
