Hi-

I am currently trying to finalize the band for my engagement ring and I am stuck between 3.5 and 4 mm. In the end, there will be 3 bands, all the same width, and I don''t want it to be too much. However, when I looked at the mold today of the engagement ring, currently at 3.5mm (1.70 Carat Princess Cut with Princess cut inlaid stones 1/2 way around the band), it appeared that the side stones were just too small. My question is, is 12mm (3*4) too much for one person to wear? Or should I stick with 10.5mm (3*3.5). Any thoughts?

Thank you

Michael

I think I''d stick to the thinner bands. It will bring more attention to the center stone and will definitely be more comfortable to wear. If you plan on wearing the bands on the opposite hand, you could get away with the thicker bands.

If you haven''t already done so, I would go try rings on, to get the feel. That''s a lot of mm on one finger, imo, even at 10.5. I wear 2-3.5 mm bands, and they are very comfy, but I don''t think I''d want much, if any more, than that.

Three rings at 10.5mm and 12mm seem like a lot. I wouldn't be able to wear that. My two rings are about 5mm total. It really depends on personal preference though. If you haven't already done so, I'd go in and try the bands on to see which one you're more comfortable with.
