Help please need recs on safes

My DH birthday is this Friday and he bought what I wanted to buy him. Plan B...he wants a safe for paperwork, other valuables, etc and looking for recommendations on one that fireproof and waterproof.

My budget is under $500 and not a clue as to a good brand or even where to go, Home Depot, Lowes, Costco, Office Mac, etc.

Help!!! Please.

one that fireproof and waterproof.

there is no such thing. there is fire resistant and water resistant.
If it is stuff you really care about contact a safe company and ask for composite 2 hour fire rated safe tl-15 or better. Used is fine.
A small one will weigh around 400lbs.

tl-15 means it can resists a pro with tools for 15min.

Check out Costco. DH got one there for around $1000. His had to be big enough to hold a 50cal, that's why it was so much. I know they have smaller ones, though.
