I''ve read and read and I think I get more confused the more I read.
I am looking to replace my wife''s diamond engagement ring since she has
had it for over 35 years now.

I have found the setting at James Allen she likes, but not sure about the diamond.
My budget is anywhere between 4000 and 6200 and .9 up to 1.10 in a round.

I found these two diamonds (1197286 and 1197104) at James Allen and they seem
pretty good, at least to a novice. Not sure if someone could point me to any other stones.

I would love to look at Whiteflash, but being from Texas I would have to pay sales tax,
which I am trying to avoid.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Jeff!

Could you post the links to the diamonds from James Allen that you are interested in please? Also what are your priorities for colour and clarity? If you could let us know then we can help you look!

Well you have obviously been doing your homework! Three excellent diamonds, well done Jeff! What I would do now is to contact James Allen and find out which of the SI clarities are eyeclean to your standards and request Idealscope images if possible. Then you can post that info here and we can go from there subject to your preferences.

Thanks so much for your reply.
I will contact them for needed information.

Thanks again Lorelei and have a great weekend.

I am not loving the IS for #3, looks like leakage under the table? Maybe a bad pic?

The first two look great. If they are eyeclean, I would say either would be great.

Does anyone else think those first two Idealscope images look identical?

You know Fly Girl, I didn''t notice until you mentioned it. I went back into my email to make sure I didn''t get them mixed up and put
one in twice and I didn''t. The only difference I can notice is one color is a little lighter than the other, but everything else is the same to me.

I will call them Monday and have them clarify these one more time.

Thanks for bringing it up and Thanks Honey22 for pointing out about number 3. Obviously, I appreciate all the help can get.

It does look like the same IS image someone made a mistake someplace.

Hey folks,

The IS images for diamonds 1 and 2 are definitely the same. I''ve been back and forth to NYC a few times this month trying to get all of the 500 new H&A diamonds photographed, idealscoped, cropped and ready for the website, but evidently something went awry on these two. I''ve made the office aware of this mixup and Jeffw47 should have new images Monday or Tuesday. We''ll probably need to rephotograph the 3rd diamond as well, just to make sure everything is consistent.

I hope this information is helpful!

Thank you Jim for clarifying that so quickly!

Hey Jim,

Thanks so much for being so helpful. I appreciate your honesty as an online retailer. That means a lot to me,especially when I am thinking
about spending over $7000 with your company.

I will call Ashley on Monday to let her know about the problem.

Thanks again Jim and I hope you and your family have a very nice Thanksgiving.

Jeff
