And I’m not getting any sleep. My chiro is back in Chicago and I’m in ft lauderdale. Anyone know how to pop a rib back in by themself?

Ouch! Gawd no! :shock::sick:

Did you go to the ER for an xray?

No, it comes out every so often so I know I need my chiro. I’m looking at dr YouTube on how to fix it myself. :eek2:

April, I hope you’re able to get it back in safety and find some comfort! The holidays are so tricky on medical issues while traveling—is there a local chiro or urgent care?

I have no car. If it gets bad I might go to urgent care. I’m due to go out on a cruise on Wednesday from the port of Miami.

So sorry for you. Unfortunately I am of no help, but do wish you a speedy recovery!!!!

Saying a prayer for healing!

I called my chiro and he told me to get a foam roller and roll on it. Meanwhile I picked up a cold and sore throat over night. :angryfire:

Oh no! All that and the rib... I hope you are feeling much better soon and can enjoy the rest of your trip.

Did you ever get the rib back in place? :(2

Oh you poor thing I hope it's sorted already and you're not in pain anymore!

I misread the title of your thread and thought you were looking for a place to dine out on ribs.

I hope the roll worked, or that your chiropractor scared you into seeing a colleague.

What a day you are having! o_O:(2

Ouch. Ribs out HURT. I hope using the foam roller got it back into place.

A few (cough cough) years ago, when I was in my 20s, I had a rib get out of whack, and yes indeed, they DO hurt! I went to a DO that my then-boyfriend's dad used. It was massively unpleasant - the man was a mountain and twisted me around in unpleasant ways - but he did get it back into place. But he gave me one tip I've always adhered to: anytime you have to lift something over your head - like when getting something off a high shelf, be sure that you do it on the exhale, that your ribcage is not expanded while moving weight above your head. He said that the expanded ribcage made throwing out a rib more likely. I don't know for certain what did it to me then, although I suspect that it was that very thing since I worked then as a computer operator and did a lot of lifting things both high and low, but since then, I've always done what he said, and I've never had another rib pop out.

I didn't even know this was possible! Ouch-o-rama. I hope you got it back into place, and that your sore throat and cold didn't stick around long. Feel better on all counts!

I, also, had no idea that was even possible. I hope you are feeling better @AprilBaby. My family has been passing around a cold for the whole of December. I am on my second run with it. Miserable. I can't imagine being on a cruise and feeling awful. All I am doing these days is hugging my humidifier to help the coughing.
