So i went and bought my fiance her engagement ring from Robbins Brothers before doing all my research online first like I should have. I was wondering if you guys could help me figure out if it was a good deal. I purchased the band that had a total weight of half a carat inside the band(band link here). I also purchased a pear shaped diamond and from talking to another jeweler and looking online seems like I got ripped a new one.(Specs will be below)

My questions are:
1. Did i get ripped off?
2. Should i return the diamond?
3. Can I find the same band from other suppliers like exactly that style and setting?
4. Should i return the band also? If i can get it from somewhere else.

Diamond specs:
Shape: Pear Shape Cut
Measurements: 6.48x4.51x2.89mm
Weight: .52ct

Proportions:
Depth: 64.10%
Table: 61.00%
Girdle: Thin to Slightly Tick Faceted

Finish:
Polish: Very good
Symmetry: Good

Clarity SI-2

Color Grade: E
Flourescence: Inert.

I paid $1595.00 from looking online now it looks like I got ripped a new one.

Thanks for your time I just feel like I didn''t receive a good deal now.

Pear is much more difficult to buy online. Also, which lab graded the stone?

But the price is definitely too high.

AIG was the Lab and thanks for the quick reply. One jeweler said they could make the band but I am worried about it not looking exactly the same as the original because my fiance loves the band.

anyone else lay a hand an help me out?

From the stats, the pear you bought has good numbers. So that is at least a very big positive.

Like stone-cold said, pears are hard to buy without seeing them in person. So if you like the stone, don't worry about it.

Of course! I love pears and have a special interest in them so I will do what I can to help. Firstly the depth and table only tells us how deep the stone is and how large the table is, it tells nothing about the faceting, crown height, shape and appearance and performance of the diamond. So understand as we can't see it and don't have any images, there isn't much I can tell you about the quality of the cut etc.

The price does look high, was this just for the diamond or for the setting too?
