Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone can give me there opinions.

I just purchased a ACA .782 FSI1 http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-1467041.htm but also my first choice was a ACA .798 FSI1 http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-1467044.htm# .

Just want to see if I made the right choice even though they both should look great as they are ACA.

Also now I am looking into settings for this and think I have settled on getting Whiteflash Harmony but have a few questions for anyone that has it or is knowledgable about jewelery.

http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Diamond-Settings/Harmony-Engagement-Ring_1136.htm

Will having the Legato head made to be part of the band/shank make it stronger structionally or it doesnt matter. I see that LynnB ring is the "orginal Legato" which is part of the band while what is on the website just sits on the band, Is it still strong this way.

ALso I notice holes inside the band, most likey for cleaning. I am thinking about asking WF if they can make it without the holes to make it stronger. Any comments or suggestion on this?

Lasty for those who have the Harmony, does the legato head leave room to have a surprise diamond made into the head. I think that this would look great.

Thanks for reading and any comments or suggestions.

Beautiful stone, no worry on the choice.

As for the holes, some of the best companies in the world put them in there, I would think they wouldn't do it if it presented a structural problem.

As for the head, same thing, this will be a well made setting and I don't think it's an issue to have the head integrated or not, except that it changes the look of the ring. I'd just go with whatever one you think looks better.

The BEST thing to do here? Buy insurance. That way whatever happens, if something happens, the ring will be covered.

As for the surprise diamond, do you know what kind of wedding band look she (or you if you are the she!) wants? Because if she likes a flush look sometimes the surprise diamonds hinder that.

Hi quicksilver,
ditto what NF has said. They make very good quality rings, I don''t see any structural issues. That said, some rings are more suited to people that are gentle on their hands - if your girl is particularly active or works with her hands alot, sometimes pave is not the best choice..
But if thats what she would love, I say got for it and of course just make sure it is insured outside as well as in the home.
I personally have the Legato (plain) on a 1.25ct diamond, and don''t really see any room for a surprise diamond..But I also Love the legato head the way it is, and wouldn''t want to change it!
Where did you hope to put the stone? Where the wires "dip" ?

Yes i was thinking having the surprise diaomond right under the scallops/bridge on 2 sides.

Does the head of the legato confirm to the diamond or are there openings that might fit the surprise diamonds

Thankyou for the pics, it actually looks better than I thought. I would just ask your rep to confirm whether they think it will work or no..NF made a good point too, make sure you think about the W-band. In my experience the regular head sticks out pretty far as it is..

I''m sorry but I don''t understand your highlighted Q ?

Sorry I meant to type conform to the diamond, as if the metal hugs the diamond completly on all sides or is it exposed

Hi again, cheers for clarifying.
Yes, the wires do go around in that distinctive shape on all sides, obviously on 2 sides it meets up with the cathedral part of the band..
On my ring at least, they are underneath the girdle so the sides of the diamond are exposed - but I think because the wires stick out farther than any part of the stone it is still well protected.
I hope that answers your Q

The main thing I would be concerned with the surprise diamond, is it would take away from the distinctive head and just end up looking "filled in" with metal, if you know what I mean. You have to remember that all these details are So much smaller IRL..
But again, I think your WF rep would know best - they may have even done it before..

Just browing in the solitare section of WF i came across this.

Do you guys think that the Comfort-fit surprise ring head is the legato with the surprise diamond? I dont think its something that is eye pleasing to us.

Anyone with the comfort-fit surprise care to chime in?

This is exactly what I was talking about above - just not enough room for both imho, and starts to look like filled in metal..
plus you don't get the pretty open side view of the diamond..nup, keep it regular if you want my opinion
