, but I was wondering if there might be something i am missing. I was told that there is a crystal and a feather on the side of the stone. What do you think? thanks for the help

it looks like a beauty! great size too

i happen to like feather inclusions. just make sure it doesn''t break the surface or otherwise cause any issues with durability.

Feathers are generally a good thing in an SI stone. Of the differnt times of inclusions, they''re generally the toughest to find with the naked eye. I bought an SI2 stone and by looking at the plot, it looks like a mess! But, it''s completely eye clean and I couldn''t even find the feathers with a loupe until after I had seen it under a 30x microscope.

very nice! Crystals, clouds, and feathers are virtually impossible to see unless it''s under magnification. Unless you have black carbon spots, you''re probably fine!

looks good!

thank you everyone for your help. One quick question is that I found this same diamond on several sites last night listed for almost $400 cheaper

. Is there room to negotiate, or is this higher cost part of the higher operating cost of different online stores. Unfortunately the websites have removed their link which showed the lower price. Any comments???

suppose there''s always room to negotiate. sure, rent would be higher in NY than TX, and if the vendor also had a showroom (staff, electricity) vs. just an office and mostly workspace.

I second what linvillegorge said. I have an SI2 stone that has a feather as its main clarity setting inclusion. The grading report makes it looks like a chess board, but all of those are invisible twinning wisps and one feather on the side. I even know where to look for it and still can''t see it 99% of the time.
