Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to help me.

I'm behind on reading all the ideal diamond specs, but I've picked some out based on what I've read so far. Wondering if y'all can comment or help me pick the right rock for the engagement. Looking to buy real soon and I'm short on time, as I didn't think it would be this complicated on diamond specs. Much more than 4C's for sure hehe.

What I'm looking for:
1.45-1.5 round cut
D
VVS2-VVS1
Excellent/ideal cut

Some that I've found using price scope, how am I doing guys?

Are you stuck on such high clarity and color for some reason? D color is great - I have one - but not necessary to have a white diamond. And VVS clarity is *serious* overkill unless you have personal reasons for wanting such high clarity.

Concentrate on cut quality - an ideal cut stone will face up whiter and larger than a less well cut one of the same carat weight. I'd personally open up options by expanding to include colors down to G (still plenty white) and clarity down to SI1 as long as it is eye clean. JMHO. :)

Thank you for your input!

I want something good for my girl, and personally, I've always been a stickler for buying "higher quality" of things, just because. Not saying the lower grades are less of diamonds, but ill open myself up to it.

But I'm just wondering if my picks are the types that would be ideal to buy if one were looking at the above requirements?

Honestly, I'd look at the top top quality stones if I were you. Look at Whiteflash A Cut Above, Brian Gavin Signature, Good Old Gold, and Crafted By Infinity at High Performance Diamonds. It sounds like you want the best of the best, which is so wonderful, so stick with the best vendors. Do not ever skimp on cut quality!

ETA: THIS is the kind of stone you are looking for (yum!)

Thank u!

I already looked at that exact rock too! Whiteflash a definite consideration
