Help on EGL Certificate

I just bought a VS1/F/.54 carat diamond but I don''t understand the measurements. I am wondering if it''s even a "very good" cut...

THe card doesn''t list any percentages or diagrams, only:

Measurements: 5.31 - 5.28 x 3.26 mm

Can anyone help me out?

I thought all genuine certificates had at least depth and table size. My EGL USA Cert has all measurements, where did you buy it from?

I bought it at Samuels in The Woodlands, TX. I am looking at the card - the rest of the paperwork is in my glove box - maybe I should look at that?

There wasn't anything in the paperwork about the diamond. Just warranty info. If I use the girdle inscription could I look up more info on my diamond or am I just basically SOL?

I would go back to whoever you bought it off and demand the cert.

You got a consultation. It contains basically color, clarity, weight and measurement informations. It's common (although I do not like it too much) for smaller stones... You can call EGL and ask for the missing info.

From your data, the stone has 61.6% depth.

No, absolutely not. You'd need table, crown, pavilion, girdle and culet infos.
