Help on diamond choice

Hi,

I am new to the forum, and looking for help to pick a diamond. I am looking for a 1.7-2 carats stone, and my budget is 250k (could be slightly higher, but not too much). I did the search on pricescope and found this one:

The numbers on report seems to be good to me, but I just started to learn basics about diamond, so I might be wrong. Also, I asked seller to send me a comparison between a D and G diamond face-up picture, and I think I can clearly tell that D is whiter. So now I am a little concerned about the color. But just looking at the picture of this G color diamond, I cannot see the warmth in it.

Can people help me to look at the diamond? Is this one a good stone that worth of the money?

G is a nice color. and that is a gorgeous diamond.

A well graded and well cut G does not show any warmth face up - it is clearly in the colourless range. A D will look icy white. When side by side you will see a slight difference but at this point, it is all about personal preference. Just because a person can see the difference does not mean that he or she will prefer the D coloured diamond.

is your budget $25,000 or $250,000? This will make an enormous difference. I know it might seem stupid, but just want to be clear. I would guess 25k from the stone you posted, but still want to check.

Thanks a lot for all the replies. Yeah, I meant 25k I was actually also looking at the one from james allen with F color. Except the color difference, are their cut equally good? I actually care more about its brilliance and sparkle. Will a G color affect that?
