Ok, after lurking for a month or so, and having all these information, I have sinced been very educated from reading many PS posts, anyhow I am looking for a new diamond,, not sure if I want round or princess cut, my setting is slightly custom made that is 8 mm in width 14k yellow gold with 3 princess cut going accross the shank near where the head, on each side, I initially wanted to get a princess cut diamond of at least 1 carat due to my rather large width, but angle it so it will be in a kite position... I understand that this may be "dangerous" position, but it''s beautiful. Anyhow, then I thought, well maybe I should just go for RB? and since I am pretty active outdoors and have a two year old to keep track up, and I don''t want any sharp corners to accidentally hurt my little one.... I''m in love with Princess cut, and might regret if I get a RB however, I love the Fire and brillance of a round, and it "looks" bigger but my issue is finding a wide range of RB and Princess Cut Prices ranging from $3500-$6500 I looked at JamesAllen and WF and the price differs quite a bit. SO my question is What would be really different with James Allen H&A cut vs WF ACA? would I still get an AWESOME DIAMOND from James Allen if I can get my diamond at closer to the $3600 range? which would be awesome! So I guess I have lots of questions... whether Princess Cut? I guess just insure it, right in case I do get a chip, or go for the RB. I plan on going to Jared to try on a few Peerless to get a better idea on Color, however, from what I can remember from visiting in the past, is I would like the G color if I can stay in the $3600 range for 1 carat or close on the RB or 1 carat or more on the princess cut... any help on anything I just talked about would be awesome!! thanks! sorry for being all over the place, since I am in no hurray for a diamond as it really is for my 5 yr anniversary, I don''t mind, taking all the post I can get to have everyone give me their opinion.. THanks again!
