3rd Diamond - July 2005 New AGS 0 Certificate
Crown ht - 15.5
Crown ang - 34.6
Paviliion depth - 43.0
Pavillion angle - 40.9
Girdle - 0.8-3.0
Table - 56
Total Depth - 61.1
HCA score 1.5

Based on specs only, I tend to favor #1 and #3 the best mainly because of HCA score and also the Total Depth. However, I'm probably ruling out #3 as there is a noticeable large inclusion on the table that can eventually be seen with your naked eye if you stare long enough. #1 is eye clean but has an inclusion on the table that can be seen easily through the loupe and has a certificate that's 1 year old. #2 is also eye clean with no inclusions on the table and overall inclusions that are hardly noticeable with the loupe. So I like #2 because of the clarity and especially for the newer cert that states light performance is 0.

I'm having a difficult time deciding although I'm sighly favoring #2 mainly just because of the newer certification that shows light performance. I have until Monday or Tuesday to decide on the stone.

Do you advice that I get the Idealscope and light to check it's performance even though the New AGS certs gives an indication of light performance already. I would have to next day it in order to get it by Monday or Tuesday and not sure if it's really needed. Or should I send it to the appraiser to get evaluated. What are the chances of light performance of 0 in an Ideal AGS stone having only a fair Idealscope image. Advice or opinions.

you''ve seen these all side by side? do you still have them all?

yes, i saw them side by side...and i have until either Monday or Tuesday to decide before they have to be returned. Looking at all three, all of them looked great and not one in particular stood out more than the others. That''s why I''m looking for some help

you are in a far better position to judge than anyone here. an idealscope is cool, but i don''t think it is going to help much in this situation. you need to examine them together in various lighting conditions and see if one outperforms the others. if it is still close, make a list of priorities that are important to you and see which one matches up best. it sounds like they are all very nice stones....trust yourself.
