help needed! which of the two yellow diamonds should I pick!

so this is the first time ever I look for/buying a yellow diamond. Now I have two on hold but they cant hold them for long. I need to make a decision soon but really have no clue! I know there are a lot pros here and pls pls help!

I think the 0.91 has an overall good shape and size, but really like the color of 0.74. on the other hand, 0.74 has an odd shape as a center stone and I really don't know how to set it.

here are my questions:
1. if the overall score of any yellow diamond is 10, how would you score these two? I am asking because I would like to know if they are good picks at all -- as I have mentioned, I have zero experience on yellow diamond.
2. which would you pick and why?
3. any suggestion on how to set the 0.74 one?

I LOVE the second stone- saw it earlier today and think the shape is beautiful. I'm not a huge fan of the first stone you posted. The facets seem odd, almost like it has an elongated bow tie. That said, if you love the first one, I would set it like this:

Fore the second stone, I would probably bezel set it as well to emphasize the shape.

I usually prefer rectangle cushions to squares but I do not like that rectangle one and LOVE the square. There is just something beautiful about the shape that is pleasing to the eyes. I think the rectangle is too thin and long. The color seems equal to me..... but I am not a colored diamond expert by any means. And I agree with bezeling to emphasize shape.

Rats. I really wanted to prefer the first one, as I know you said it was your favorite color,but I have yo agree the second really looks like the best stone.
I dont kknow if its the monitor I am viewing it from or what, but the first seems to almost have a caramel color to it. I know its not listed in the gia report so it must not really be there, but overall the color in the second seems brighter to me. Also the first is too shallow it looks like, that X pattern in the middle of the stone seems to indicate the stone is not well cut. If I did get it I'd halo it, to answer that question. But I wouldn't suggest that stone

The second stone is lovely. The shape is great, I like the cut and color!

I also prefer the shape of the second stone. I would Kite set it, with the corners of the stone pointing to North, South, East and West, but in a 4-prong setting with the prongs at 10, 2 5 and 7 (on a clockface). Hope that makes sense.

The 0.91 ct square FCD is the clear winner for me. Pleasing shape, well cut and I can't believe the colour is a "mere" Fancy Yellow. It is very bright and pure, compared to the 0.74 ct FV rectangular FCD which looks a tad muddy and might have cut issues. That said, it looks like that one is now reserved?
