Help needed to choose among these two diamonds!!!

they are both from bluenile. #1 is $1K cheaper than #2. The main thing make me hard to decide is #2 has better HCA score, but it is NOT signiture idea certificated. But it seems to have all signiture ideal cut details. Please help to choose. I have 10 days to make decision.

I'll say that there isn't anything in the details you posted that makes one a clear winner. The measurements all look fine, and it doesn't matter if one is "better" on the HCA, a 1.5 isn't necessarily better or worse than 1.3 (it only matters that they're both under 2).

Since you're looking at VVS2 and VS1 stones I assume inclusions won't be a big deal since both are likely eye clean.

I don't see much of a differentiation between the two, so I'd pick based on BN's "signature ideal" of the first one?

It's tough without photos, idealscopes, and GIA Certs to decide a clear winner. BN doesn't provide photos or ideals though.

What is the chance that the #2 diamond sparkling as #1 but blue nile didn't mark it a signiture ideal, is it possible?

I don't think I am going to switch to another diamond website because I like the BN's setting. Although other website provide ideal scope image etc.

What setting are you looking at? It would help a lot to see pictures of the stones. I won't buy a diamond without a magnified image.

That said, I think a Signature stone is the safest thing to buy from BN. Also, VS1 is totally eyeclean and you usually can't even see inclusions with a loupe. If you do, they will be minute. That is the clarity I prefer. Any higher and you are just paying extra for the mental aspect of knowing you have a very high clarity stone.

Just a note. When you list the specs on a stone, it is important to list the diameter measurements. You want to be sure the stone faces up as large as it should for it's weight. GIA Excellent stones usually are fine as long as the depth isn't over 62.3. The 1.21 ct stone's diameter is fine.

The HCA scores are the same. The tool is a dichotomous rejection tool and any score under 2 suggests the proportions are good and the stone should be considered further. So eliminate that as a selection criteria between these two stones.

Is there a reason you want such high clarity and color?

With a VS1 stone you can basically ignore anything to do with clarity. Any inclusions are too small to ever see with your eyes and likely too small to even find with a loupe for most people, so the type and location and nature become basically irrelevant.

Because I am upgrading the current small diamond. which is G color VS1. by "upgarding" i am thinking a bigger one with a F color VVS2. i know my simple thought sounds naive. I am glad I come here to ask. Thanks
