Help needed picking out an eternity band

I am debating between a bezel band (many vendors make these) and a channel band from Facets. I need it in white gold. I am torn between all diamonds or diamonds and pink sapphires. I'm leaning toward diamonds/pink sapphires because I think I'd like a little pop of color. I wanted sapphire side stones in my e-ring and couldn't end up finding a pair I wanted in the time I wanted my ring completed in. I think a band would be a nice way to incorporate the color I crave. I prefer the bezel bands but is this too much of the round shape with my e-ring? Do I need the straight line a channel setting like the one linked would provide?
My ring:

The Facets Collection band: http://thefacetscollection.com/item.cfm?item_id=1053&show_metal=18K White Gold
I asked Facets if they could add milgrain. They can, so that's how I'd order it. D&T posted this comparison of the 2.3mm vs 2.6mm band. I want the 2.3mm.

BGD Sapphire and diamond bezel band: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/home/ring-details/?product_id=5434
Milgrain would be $125 extra

I've contacted WF as well since they do the same band but I'm still waiting on the quote on the eternity version (website just shows 3/4).

I know many have this band from BGD. I'd be curious to hear any opinions. Also does anyone have this band with milgrain? I could only find one example on BGD's blog.

Are the BGD and WF bands exactly the same? I'm leaning toward BGD for the bezel band because they have been helpful and quick to respond to any of my quotes in the past but I haven't worked with them yet.

I originally wanted this band but ID Jewelry's suppliers are having difficulty sourcing the colored stones so that's a no go. http://idjewelryonline.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_53&products_id=2470

Now that I've shared the bands that I'm interested in, does anyone have any alternatives for the bezel bands? I like different shapes as well, it doesn't have to be just rounds. If I don't go with a bezel band, then I will get the band from Facets. I've contacted Michael E., and he can order the round bezel setting from Adwar as well. His price was about $100-200 less than BGD. I imagine the premium of BGD's melee is worth it though, right?

Any favorites? I'm so confused!

Thanks in advance!

i recently purchased and returned the whiteflash bezel band. it was very beautiful and extremely dainty, but the diamonds were so small they looked like chips to me. the picture makes it difficult to tell the size and when it came i was surprised at how small it was. hope that helps.

I actually think that the straight band would be a nice contrast to your ering, but that's just me.

The BGD band has 1.5 pointers, the WF band has 1 pointers, so the BGD band will be blingier.

Have you been able to try on both styles with your ring?

I agree with gecko, I like the idea of a straight band with your stunning ering, I think it would compliment beautifully without competing or trying to be too 'matchy', if that makes sense.. and I love the idea of alternating pink sapphires and diamonds! :lickout:

Thanks for the help geckodani and tina sparkle!

I've tried on some regular eternities(various Tacori bands) and a bezel band with alternating baguettes and rounds. I couldn't get a feel for what looked better because the rings were swimming on me. My ering is a 4.25, most everything in stores is around a 6+ so none of the bands will sit nice next to my ring when I try them on. I do think the straight band may look better, it's just that on their own I prefer the bezel band. I'd wear it by itself around the house so it's something to consider. I think I want one of each :naughty:!

I went to a dog boutique today that is on the street next to Tiffany & Co (it's an open shopping plaza) and was planning to stop by to try on the jazz band. After I got done at the dog boutique, it started pouring down rain.... Not the best weather for outdoor shopping! So I had to cut the shopping excursion short!

Good to know about the BGD band. I think I'd definitely go with them then if I were to pick the bezel band.

I wonder if Facets would do pink sapphires/diamonds in that size band. I need to drop them a line!

I vote for the straight band too!!!

If I do the straight, what do you think about having three diamonds then three sapphires like in this picture:

I think you all have sold me on the straight band. I might have to hold off on any more bezels and reserve something like that as a rhr.

I'm still debating the pink vs all diamond though. Hmm...

I really like that band that you posted with three pink, three white! My question to you would be..do you think you will ever tire of the pink? Another thought would be to get the all white now to use as a daily wedding band and then get a pink one for another milestone down the road that you can use to switch it up when you are in the pink mood, or just stack all 3!

I am all for the straight band, but I would do beadset rather than channel (only because I don't like the "holes" in a standard channel setting. I am not a fan of mixed stone eternities - I like the idea of separate pink and white bands though?

I love pink. It's not a super expensive band so if I decide down the road that I want something else I wouldn't be out tons of cash. I'm going to get a plain white gold wedding band as well. I can always wear that if I want to switch it up. I am open to other colored stones as well. The pink was just so pretty and feminine. Diamonds are more practical since it will match everything. Blue sapphires are more neutral in a wardrobe/wouldn't really clash with much so that is something I should contemplate. I just need to pick which I think I will enjoy having first.

I'd love to hear from someone who has a colored stone wedding band. Do you try to match your outfit around it or do you not worry about that?

A solid colored band is an interesting option as well. My last bead set band had so many issues. I had a few stones that were set deeper than others and it bugged me immensely. I'm really nit-picky about craftsmanship so I'm a little gun-shy about going with that option again. Also, I'm clumsy so a channel set band may hold up better for me . I'm sure an excellent vendor would make sure the ring is well-made but I really like the Facets bands.

A straight band (with milgrain) would look amazing with your e-ring. I love the idea of the 3 diamonds - 3 pink sapphire band. I'm all about color!

I love that 3 pink sapphire 3 white diamond band. I think it would look awesome with your ring, which btw, is one of my all time PS favs! I can't wait to see what you get!

I like the setting with the 3 sapphires and the 3 diamonds....very pretty!

I love the idea of the 3 pink 3 white alternating! It will make the pink pop more.

As for matching the ring to your clothes, totally not necessary. My sister has a sapphire as her center stone, and wears it with everything.

ETA: Just and FYI, the Tiffany band has 2 pointers, so they will be larger than even the BGD if you decide to try it on.

Thanks yennyfire! I've decided to go with the 3 diamond 3 sapphire pattern. I'll be picking the vendor today. I'm just waiting on one more quote! Looks like I'll be going with Facets though.
