Hi everyone!

I have come across a cushion cut diamond I really like the look of, however it's table size is 66%, which I am aware is quite large. I have read that large tables, can result in a lack of fire, and can mean the stone is too shallow, however it also has a depth of 68.6%, which makes me think it should still be firey. Any thoughts on this? I am very much an amateur so would really appreciate any help on this. Also do diamonds with a large table look odd in their appearance?

Thank you!

Re: Opinions on this large spread diamond please!

FWIW spread has nothing to do with the table percentage.
Spread is top-view face up size of the whole diamond for the weight.

For example, a 1-carat round diamond 6.5 mm in diameter has better spread than a 1-carat round of 6.0 mm diameter.

Put another way, a 6.5mm round that weighs 1-carat has better spread than a 6.5mm round that weighs 1.1-carat.

Ok thank you, i have changed the title so as not to be misleading! Do you have any opinion on the question?

I'm sorry I am not at all knowledgeable about cushion cut.
Plenty of other posters here are though.
