Hello Pricescopers, warm greetings from the country of Sweden 
I have been lurking on pricescope for a few weeks now, trying to learn as much as possible about diamonds. Now it is finally time to take the plunge and get engaged with the love of my life since these past six years. And I would very much appreciate any help any of you could offer me.
Following is some key data regarding the budget and time frame that's important.
Budget was set at 10k initially but I have raised it to around 13k now, with the current conversion SEK to $. I am after an 1ct ideal cut ags0 H&A round diamond, preferably in the F-G color range and in the VS clarity range. The budget includes the setting also. When it comes to the time frame and why its important is that we will be on vacation and traveling to Los Angeles between 3-19 June and in Miami between 19-25 June. We will be visiting my brother in L.A and then finishing our vacation with a hopefully romantic visit in Miami Beach. I am hoping to get the ring delivered while we are in L.A and try to do something romantic in Miami.
At first I was looking to get a custom ring designed since we found a design she liked while visiting a few local jewelers.

I contacted three sites and asked for quotes, these sites were BGD, WF and ERD. I choose to contact these sites since they come highly recommended on these boards.
We decided not to go with a custom solution because of a few reasons but mostly I felt that I was rushing it and that I would not get the ring in time. Other concerns was what if we are not happy with how the custom ring looks. So I felt that that is not for us, at least not on my very first diamond purchase ever.
I did not inform the different companies that I was asking quotes from multiple places since I felt that would be rude talking or mentioning a competitor. Also I must say that all three of them were great on the phone, the customer service is outstanding, I feel guilty that I am not able to buy from all of them. I must thank Denise(BGD), Victoria(WF) and Chris(ERD) for their time and apologize that I did not go with the custom option.
So now I am looking at the stock settings that BGD and WF offer with one of their brand H&A diamonds, ERD seems to specialise in cushions from what I have read.
I would also like to mention that I am not considering Gavins blue line since my WTB has mentioned that she would not like fluorescence (but I think it looks really awesome). A few things I have in mind are that the ring should have square sides.
Also I am looking at the head and considering if a future pave/eternity band will be able to sit flush next to it.
I know my WTB likes wide bands, she was looking at around 6mm with the custom ring and a future 3 row pave band in the 5mm range. But I can not find wide stock settings, but she has said that she can compromise and instead get a wide 3-5 row band later.
