Hey guys,
I am an anxious LIW and I have read lots of posts about square vs. rectangle cushions, and old cut vs. brilliant, etc. So, the more I read the more I realize how complex a cushion diamond choice is! Well, my bf has already purchased my solitaire cushion ering, and I know only a few details that I have forced out of him. I want your help in decoding this diamond, and advice on whether my bf made a wise choice or not (he doesn''t know about PS!). Please let me know:
1. It is either a D or E color (he won''t tell me which of the two for the surprise factor)
2. It is approx. 7.00 mm X 7.00 X 4.00 mm. So, these numbers are not exactly what it will be, but he says it is square. I always wanted a square, but are rectangles better in some way because they seem more popular on PS?
3. It is set in a cathedral setting with double prongs. He came up with this all on his own and I love the sound of it! Any worries about the strength of the double prongs if the ring is white gold?
4. He says there are two inclusions (would not tell me more) but says it is "eye clean" and he also told me it is not SI2. Now, I know very little about the breakdown of these gradings so if anyone can educate me on VS2 vs. SI2, that would be great.
Any cushion experts out there, please help!
