I'm looking to buy my first diamond and I have singled out this stone as a potential. I'd like to get some additional opinions on it - can I do better or is it a good stone? Also, should I be concerned with the H color? Originally I wanted to keep it to G color. Any thoughts on color are appreciated. Here is the link to the stone:

Anyone? Could really use some assistance here. While I've done my best to read up and become informed I'm still only a newbie with respect to diamonds.

Thanks.

It looks good to me. No red flags. I think color preferences are extremely personal. My SO actually prefers stones with H/I color. In the D to I color range I need at least 2 color grades before I can spot the color difference outright when examining the stones loose.

ETA: If you don't mind blue fluorescence or SI clarity BGD has a similar sized F SI listed for just under 10k

It will be set in Platinum. Likely either solitaire or pave setting. I've been looking at some Vatche designs.

It seems from reading the forums that an H color should be ok set in platinum in a well cut diamond. Do most people agree with that?
