Help! Need help with gift for neighbor!

So our neighbors brought us a fruitcake (I know, but seriously, it was so yummy and imported from Italy).
What's the proper protocol to give back a gift? Any ideas?

How nice of your neighbors... this may not compare to fruitcake but I was thinking about making some of the Chex party mix the other day. It's simple to make up a really big batch, put it in a Xmas/Holiday plastic container or tin with some tissue paper and give as
a gift. People seem to enjoy it plus it's easy to make.
