Hi. I am hoping someone can help me with this.... I just got my princess cut stone re-set into a three stone princess setting.... the princess measures 7.21 x 6.92-- which puts it in the square range (1.04) but it is not a perfect square. I had it set N to S in my previous setting. Anyway, the jeweler who set it in the three stone set it E to W. I did not ask him to do this and I do not prefer it this way. I went in to speak with him and he said he could turn the stone but there would be a possibility of creating gaps between center and side stones ( they are .70 each). That would be even more intolerable to me than the E W situation!
Finally my question.... If all three stones are taken out, the prongs manipulated, and the strones re-set N to S won''t this alleviate any gaps??? Is this not possible in platinum?
Thanks in advance, I want to have an idea of what can or cant be done before I call/ see the jeweler!!!
