Hi All,

I need some educated/informed opinions from all you kind folk. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! :)

My husband and I have been looking at "upgrading" my current Tiffany Novo ring (0.77ct, H, VS1) to something a little bigger.
Our local store has found us a Tiffany Novo 1.22 ct (G, VS2) for $20,500, which is supposedly "rare "for the size/price. Just for reference, the other ring we are also considering is a Tiffany Novo 1.03ct (G, VVS2) for $21,700.

Being the skeptics that we are, we're a little unsure as to why the 1.22ct ring is priced so "low" for T&Co standards and don't know if this is a worthy ring to use our one time T&Co upgrade on.

We can't decide which ring, if either at all. Should we pass on both and just wait? Please help enlighten us!

FYI - we only have one day left on our 3-day hold to decide because another store is already on the waitlist for the 1.22ct one. The ring was already passed over by a previous store/client, which is why we got the opportunity at it.

OMG is that expensive. You could get SO much more ring for the money! Have you ever considered selling yours private party then buying a high quality look alike with a guaranteed knockout stone?

I'd go with the bigger G, VS2.

Thanks for the input :)

Yes, we definitely know that we could get more ring at other places, but my original was the Tiffany Novo and, if we were to upgrade, we'd want to keep it the same.

So, nothing seems wrong with the depth at 73.3%??
It seemed high to me according to traditional cushion cut guidelines.
When viewing both rings, the 1.22 ct didn't look noticeably bigger than the 1.03 ct and I attributed it to the fact that so much of the weight was at the bottom.

I would think that's why it's priced "low". It has the carat weight but you don't see it. At those prices just go with what your eyes like best, especially since you can't visually tell the difference at the weights.
