HELP! Mixed shapes

Princess cut with 2 RB sides - is it feasible??

I''m going crazy here! I''ve searched everywhere trying to find settings or examples of any designs of mixed cut stones and can''t see them anywhere.

My sister has been given 2 beautiful RBs from her mother-in-law for her 40th and my sis has decided to redesign her wedding ring and have a 3 stone made. The problem, her ering is a princess cut.

Now, when she told me this, I tried not to look too horrified and just nodded and hmm''ed. She doesn''t seem to have a clue about what she wants and I can''t let that happen, so I have been trying to research some styles for her but to no avail.

Help - where can I find examples of mixed cut settings of shapes not usually associated with one another?

A few posts down is a photo of a princess with round side stones. I think it will all depend on the proportions of the 3 stones but this one posted looks lovely.

Co-incidentally, I was just admiring this ring, antique recently sold in an auction. Centre 2.02 cts, H colour, sides .75 cts eac, I colour. I think it''s gorgeous.
