Help me with this OEC.

What do you think of the numbers? Is this a stone you would consider for your collection. And what would you estimate a good price would be?

It def looks like it has promise, but hard to tell surely from the two pics.
It's got a larger table and shallower depth and a seemingly small culet so looks a bit more like a transitional, a little bit larger spread than a typical older OEC.

as for cost... well it depends on where I was buying, aka if it was eBay I'd probably say about $3k was a good price on average. Retail online, maybe more like $5k.

You need more pics! That first photo is at a tilt, and I can't tell what's going on under the table..
I've seen a lot of OECs lately that have the dreaded nail head .. but look fine when is tilted at an angle.

something to keep in mind to check for?
Where are you sourcing this from? If it's a retail vendor, they should provide you with more photos!

oh and i'd make sure it has a return policy if those are the only 2 pics that entice you to buy. it may be worth taking a chance in person if the price is right and it has a return policy and you aren't somewhere that it would cost you a lot of $$ to ship.

I have that one on my wishlist. The price is good. With a good return policy, I would have bought it last night if I could have.

100% feedback and a 14 day return period, good enough for me. Ask if the seller can see any inclusions with the naked eye, especially under the table. With that clarity grade and lab it might not be eye clean.

I have that on my list too, but the only thing I'm worried about is that pic. looks the same as the other ebay posting and when I e-mailed asking for more pic. I don't even think that person speaks english well since I'm getting really weird random e-mail back about the pic.

Hmmm....that is definately the same picture. Thanks for posting this information! I was hoping to find a nice OEC in my budget, but just looks like it may take a while longer.

And this is why I usually try to ask ONE question at least of a seller. If they don't reply, or are evasive, I am O-U-T.

wow that's interesting. i found the listing you are looking at too and both sellers have hundreds of feedback and it's 100% positive, so it's not even like one of them is 'new' and could be shady lifting pics from the other. really baffling!

i would see if they respond with more pics, because if they are responsive, and the pics look good i'd probably still be interested. lots of great feedback+return policy+cc protection+ebay protection+PayPal protection might make it worthwhile to see in person esp at that price IMO.
