Help me understand what I have. ...synthetic saphhire or?

Hello members,
Well am new here but I guess a number of folks here gave some good knowledge about synthetic saphhires. So I have this gem that
I got from a person in Africa and it looks like synthetic saphhire to me. It's really big but shiny and smooth. Any ideas?

Synthetic sapphire or a sapphire with lattice diffusion would be my guesses;

Size, shape, colour, and size points towards it being blue sapphire synthetic boule.
