Also the diamond has feather on the outside not in the center, will this affect the diamond durability in the long run?




What do you think is a good price range for this diamond?
My finger size is 4. Will this 1.5ct look big on my skinny finger?

Hello,

The first thing about this stone that stood out to me is that it is slightly deep for my taste. For an Excellent cut diamond, a 62.3% depth would be borderline. The table is nice. 54% is on the lower side, but is where you may want to be for light penetration.

Everything else about the diamond seems directly in line with where you want to be: the inclusion is off center and the other proportions and measurements are solid.

If the diamond is GIA certified, I would trust the certificate's grade for Color, Clarity, Polish and Symmetry. Generally, these characteristics are somewhat arbitrary, but that's where your gemologist steps is and provides a certified grade based on his/her expertise.

Because the diamond is graded VVS2, I would not be too concerned with the diamond's durability as the feather is only microscopic and will not create problems in the future.

Lastly, I would say a fair price for this diamond is around $13,000 - $13,500. Your 1.50ct diamond will look big (but not obnoxious) on your size 4 finger.

Thank you so much for the quick response. It is GIA graded. I have a question between a VS1 1.6ct and certificate show a group of cloud outside and a little in the center but off to the side vs this 1.5 ct VVS2. Which one do you think is better value for me? Thanks
