I''ve been assured that the second one is totally eye clean and is very white in color, they are checking on the eye cleanliness of the first one. The person I''ve emailed with said that she would go with the second because of the color (it will probably be in some sort of platinum setting). I would love to get as many opinioins as possible. I''m not stuck on WF so suggestions on others that might be better would certainly be great.

Thanks everyone!

gosh, they are both going to be beautiful. I''d have someone at WF look at both and tell you what they think. just off the numbers, I''d probably chose the H & A b/c it''s slightly bigger and branded but I don''t think you could go wrong either way.

Just going by the numbers I'd probably choose #1 as well. Its just a personal preference though and they are both soooo close. I'd do what MS said and have WF give you their fav...both will I'm sure be stunning

Good luck!

if you are hesitant about color, i would go with the ''f''. it will be mindclean colorless as well as eyeclean colorless.
if size is more important, go with the bigger one.
as mrss and small noted, you will be good either way. no doubt. either will be awesome.

Either one will be fine in platinum...we see J''s and K''s here in platinum frequently. I''d probably go for the larger one if the inclusions are fine.

I''d be inclined to lean towards the first one...it''s slightly bigger and an ACA! I love stones in the G-H-I range, so I''d be fine with that too.

I agree with asking someone at WF to look at them side-by-side and give you an opinion. Based on the info you have now, I''d go with the F. My eye would notice the 2-grade color difference before the .09 mm difference. I think the ideal scope picture of the ES F looks just as good as the ACA H.

Thanks for your suggestions everyone, you all are extremely helpful, as always. They did confirm for me that the other one is eye-clean also. I was half hoping it wouldn''t be to make my decision easier.

I''d love to get some opinions on these two settings, has any body seen either in person? have any opinion on which might go better with the stone?

Sleek Lines Platinum

The ring size is a 5.5

Thanks again!

I am a huge fan of the W prong look, but a number of people around here love the sleek lines for making a stone look larger, since it''s thin and tapers in next to the stone. For the diamonds you are looking at, I''d probably go with the sleek lines. It would really compliment the stone and it''s such a classic look.

Oh, I just wanted to add that i''m a 5.5 also, and I think that either ring would really compliment that finger size. Do you have any idea which type of setting your GF would prefer?

Well, I''m not very good at picking out things like this and she''s offering no help because she wants it to be a suprise and says she''ll love whatever I get. She''s an architect and is very into modern design, that said, she''s rather classic in her personal style not one for large or ornate jewelery. So I''m dubious of straying too far from a classic but I''d like to get something that isn''t the standard 6-prong tiffany setting. I suppose I''m leaning towards the sleek lines for its ability to "enlarge" the diamond, but I really like the head of the W-prong.

I''d probably go with the sleek lines if it were me. With the w-prong and that size stone, I''d be worried that the "W" wouldn''t be spread enough to be very noticable. The larger the stone, the more spread the "W" would appear, but under a carat, it might be more compacted and less noticable. THe sleek lines is perfect, IMO.
