Hi Jon,

Have you checked these are eyeclean to your standards by asking BN?

They both look good but I prefer the first diamond.

Same, #1. Cheaper too.

As long as both are eye-clean, I''m with Lorelei that the numbers on the first are slightly more appealing.

I called and asked them to be checked for eyeclean but did not give my definition of it as I really didnt have one. This is my first diamond purchase and to be honest me and my gf have looked at si2 and si3''s( what local jeweler had) and could not see anything wrong with any of them they all looked excellent. This was the reply from BN

"I am pleased to say that all four diamonds, LD01141060, LD01057824, LD01102173
and LD01476331, are all eye clean. "Eye clean" means that a layperson examining
the diamond face-up from a distance of six to eight inches would not be able to
see any flaws, but it is not a guarantee that no flaws would ever be visible no
matter how closely you scrutinized the diamond. If you want assurance that the
diamond''s flaws would never be visible no matter closely examined, I would
recommend choosing a diamond with at least VS2 clarity."

BTW this is the HCA for the 2nd diamond

I would contact them and make your expectations clear - for example if you don''t want to see any inclusions visible from any angle at close scrutiny, then make sure you let them know that. Often as they mentioned concerning '' eyeclean,'' only the face up view is taken into consideration so make sure you let your expectations be known so you can find the right diamond.

This sounds like a corporate message to me, I don''t think they actually physically examined the stones for eye cleanliniess.

That being said the cut of number 1 is definitely preferred for me. However, I wouldn''t be surprised if that crystal actual is eye visible, but it''s one of those things you won''t know until you get it.

You could also do a search at WF, GOG, and JA because they give images of their stones and can actually get someone to physically look at the stone to check for eye cleanliness. It''s difficult to buy an SI2 without this kind of assistance...

Blast!! I suppose it can happen if a diamond is for sale through multiple avenues, never mind - you will find another!
