Hey everyone,

So I am having a hard time picking a wedding band (some background)..

- My e-ring is 3 sided pave (not supposed to be worn with a wedding band)

- I will probably be getting an upgrade in the future (and getting a new setting).

- I have recently decided I do love the look of wedding band/e-ring together.

- I live in a place that doesn''t carry anything of intrest or that can be compared too.

So my options:

1) Leon band custom, 3-sided to match with my e-ring.

Cons: I think it''s a lot of money considering I don''t really like my e-ring currently. I think the band on my e-ring is a little thick, so I think another 2mm band
next to it would be a lot thicker. Also it seems like a lot of money if I am not supposed to wear the two of them together, I will be getting an upgrade.
Seems like a bit of a waste. Cost (about 3700$).

Pros: Matches my e-ring perfectly, and it''s my fiance''s first choice

2) Beverly K bands: I have been considering these for a while (Pearlman''s)

Pros: Great price. Bead set. very thin (about 1.2 mm). I feel comfortable with this price, considering the rings would be worn for the wedding, and
on occasion. Price about (875-1500$)

Cons: White gold. My ring is platinum. I wonder if a 1.2mm band will look drawfed next to 2mm engagement ring.

So my questions are:

Which band would you get? And would you get an exact matching wedding band (width) with your engagement ring, or does a thinner band work?

Thanks ladies!

Hey you!

I would DEFINITELY go with one of the BK bands....They are so gorgeous and well-made, and if you are going to upgrade/change your weddng set eventually anyway, I wouldnt spend the near 4k to get a Leon band made, you know? You can always keep the BK band and just use it as a stacker in the future....That is a very pretty ring, btw!

As far as wearing the WG band with the platinum e-ring, I dont know. Your ring has a 3-sided pave band, so any kind of w-band (whether platinum or WG) is going to brush up against it and possible damage the side of the ring that its exposed to....So, that''s your call. Otherwise, you can always wear the rings separately...Maybe get a couple of the BK bands and stack them on your left hand, and switch your e-ring to your right hand? If it were me, I probably wouldnt want to take the chance of ruining that gorgeous e-ring you have.....

Good luck, and let us know what you decide!!!!

Hey you back!

Dani, I think I am leaning more Beverly K, because it just makes sense to me (my fiance is less sold...but he said he would consider the PS ladies opinons

Do you think I could go with the 1.2 mm? I''m trying to visualize, and a little worried that next to the 2mm it will look too small. I did send a email to Pearlman''s though. Maybe they have something 1.5 or even 1.7, or 2mm.

I never thought I would want two bands together, but I love it. Especially with a space between them like you have, I''ve been trying to recreate a little gap with my ering and an eternity band I have.

Hmmm....1.2 mm is VERY thin...I would ask Bill if BK can customize a band for you at either 1.7 or 2mm. You want your w-band to hold its own against your e-ring.... I'm sure it wouldnt be a problem for BK- they customize all the time. Also, Pearlman's is awesome to work with!

I love the gap between my rings too...I always thought that I would hate it (I totally almost changed my e-ring setting), but I'm glad I didnt in the end and have actually grown to like it alot- it shows differentiation between the rings, which I like alot. I cant wait to see what you choose!

I think a Bev K band would be just lovely, especially if you are considering changing your setting later... It won''t necessarily "match", but it will "go with it" ya'' know what I mean?

What about having someone custom make you a ~1.5-1.7mm band in platinum? It probably wouldn''t go much above $1500, and it might still look beautiful next to your upgrade. What DOESN''T a thin, platinum and diamond band go with?

I just had a ~2mm band made by Whiteflash, and it is SUPER thin. I can''t even imagine how thin a 1.2mm band would be. Would it be durable enough to withstand even the smallest accidental *bang* against a doorknob?

Dani: I don''t know if you ever watched the show Lipstick Jungle, but one of the characters (Nico) had this gorgeous wedding set with the gap, and I thought it looked SO nice, like *too much bling on one finger* look. Thank god you didn''t change it. I love the gap so much. I''m going to have to look your set up again.

Ebree: It''s pretty delicate I agree. I think my halo is 1mm. I think that something around the 1.5 mm would be perfect, and is in my upgrade range, so I could still use it with the upgrade (in case I tart to get sentimental about my wedding band). I agree that it needs to stand with the e-ring, I don''t want the band to look drawfed by the band. I hope Pearlman''s has something that will work easily.

Tuckins: Yes I hope it will be useable later. But I''m worried that I will get all picky about it, you know? My upgrade has to be EXACTLY what I want, so I will probably get all difficult about it.

Thanks ladies!

If you want to keep the wedding band forever, no matter what you do with the upgrade ... I'd suggest a PLATINUM 1.5-2.0mm diamond band 3/4 eternity - or at least with a small sizing bar in the back.

You want more than 1.2 for durability over the long haul ... sizing bar would help if you ever had to have it cut off (preggers etc) or resized. And platinum so it won't be eaten into by your current ring -- or your future ring.

Lucky for you the prices of platinum have gone down a bit lately!

NO on three-sided pave. JUST NO!!! You won't *EVER* be able to wear it with this e-ring or your new e-ring. Its a stand alone, very expensive piece that I think will be dated pretty soon. A single row of diamonds (beadset or shared prong or whatever) is just more classic & timeless & WEARABLE & MUCH less risk of losing diamonds. 1/3 the risk.

ETA: If you're really loving the Pearlmans Bev K ... why not have him send you ONE to try with your ring. Then if you like it you could have it made in platinum. I fear it will be too TALL with your e-ring. It's 1.2 wide but the make it TALL so it won't bend. Your Leon is so delicate -- maybe not a perfect fit. But worth a try if you're SUPER PSYCHED for it.

Well I got a response from Julien from Pearlman''s and they can do custom, so that is looking good. He wrote that the fee was minimal, so now all I have to do is decide on the width.

Deco: I want platinum too, but I am worried about the cost, especially since I won''t be wearing it that much. It''s 1.7 cm in height (comparable to my e-ring actually, because my e-ring is 3 sided. It''s feeling beverly K for a wedding band because the price, size is right. I would love them to send it to me to try on, but I don''t know if they would ship to Canada.

your ring. I mean really love it like I want it.
Do you mind if I ask why you don''t like it anymore?
