As most of you know, I am in the market for a nice sparkly cushion.
Our (or should I say my bf''s) budget is 5k, give or take a couple hundred dollars. So, we are thinking of putting the bulk of that money toward the diamond in order to be able to get somewhere around a 1ct diamond. (After reading more on here, I think I''m going to have to go with the cushion modified due to the size of my stone, which is fine with me.)
ERD''s website has a lot of solitaire settings for $500 or less in WG and Plat. I just don''t know which one to pick! Maybe you guys can help me imagine what would look best.
I''ll probably end up with a 1ct cushion with a 1.07-1.13 ratio. My only requests are that I don''t have an extremely high setting that I''m going to knock all over the place, and that it accentuates the stone well without overpowering it. This is a challenge, since most of these settings are cathedral, and the ones that aren''t are pretty thick. I guess I could deal with it for a little while.
I could buy a setting somewhere else, I''m sure. But these prices seem to be the best, and I''m thinking it might be easier to just get the stone and setting in the same place.
So, without further ado
here is the page with all the settings on it.
