help me pick a setting

Hello,

I am undecided about which setting to choose. My BF likes both and loves HOF. I talked him out of buying the hof diamond so he has is mind set on buying the setting. Please give me your opinions. I am having trouble attaching the pics of each of the two settings. We like the FAVORED HALF BEZEL SOLITAIRE WITH DIAMONDS and or the ASCEND TWO-PRONG SOLITAIRE. The RB is a 1.27. Are two-prong secure enough. Which do you think will make the stone look larger?

I like the profile of the Ascend.. and the front view of the Favoured. The Favoured looks less bulky than the two prongs of the Ascend imho..

I wouldn't worry about the prongs on the Ascend being enough to hold the diamond.. they aren't tiny prongs but more bezel-like. Oh and I think the Favoured would make the diamond look bigger.

I too like the profile of the Ascend but the top view of the Favoured. If there was any way to do a custom setting combining those features, that''s what I would do.

Angeline thanks for posting the pics and your opinions. This site has been so helpful!! BF loves the ASCEND TWO-PRONG so I think we will go with this. I am undecided. What a decision. I just hope the prongs are not too bulky for the size of the diamond. The diamond is absolutely gorgeous as I am so excited!!

You are welcome. I like the Ascend too I''m just a sucker for bezels! Here''s a pic of the front of the Ascend as I didn''t post one before. Good luck and remember to post pics when you have it done. Oh and I don''t think the prongs will be too bulky for a 1.27. That''s a sizable diamond!

If you can''t combine them (I agree about the side view of the one, and the top of the other) I''d take the 1/2 bezel as it is, over the other one.
