Hello All,

As a lot of the post on this forum are about im looking at engagement rings/diamonds and need help and guidance so I make a good solid choice. I have done a little research on here and have been looking on different sites for a decent diamond. The cut that she likes is round and it will be going into a solitaire setting, shes not a carat snob and wants something that will shine and is "pretty" in her words. From what I have read on multiple threads is the Cut is almost always the most important, color and clarity can be sacrificed somewhat as a lot of the imperfections are only noticeable under high magnification and color is preference per say. With all that being said I am looking to spend $3 to $4k on a diamond and would love some of you alls input on this.

Below is just something I found tonight, like I said im not sure what else to look for and that's why I came here.

Ahead of time I appreciate any and all help, this is obviously a huge point in my life and I want to make sure I do things right.

Thanks
Chris

If she is not a "snob" about rings as you say and you just want something pretty, no reason to go for an F. Drop down to G-I, and youll be etting the best bang for your buck

Also i dont think thats eye clean.

Hopefully didn't come across rude with the Snob thing didn't mean it that way, just meant she isn't all about having the biggest diamond. Thank you for the advice.

heres one i like, even though its a bit overkill on clarity, its still going to be white, and (obviously ;) ) eye clean, and less than the one you have there. And its an AGS 000 so its well cut, even though its not one of there H&A stones

And dont worry you didnt come off rude at all! I was just saying, if she just wants a beautiful ring, dont worry so much about getting a DEF color stone. near colorless stones are still very white!
