Help me OEC or H&A round?

Which would you get if you could get either (& sorry no pictures) :

A .75 F color VS clarity Hearts & Arrows Round or
A .75 I color, Eye clean OEC

Cost is not a factor I am just trying to decide which I want as I LOOOOVE both! Does anyone have lower colored OEC's or any H&A rounds?
 
I have owned both. I don't consider I color "low color". You need to see them both in person to decide which one *you* like.
 
If it's a gorgeous OEC and you don't need an upgrade policy, then the OEC. If you want an upgrade policy or the hearts and arrows is much prettier than the actual OEC, then get the H&A.
 
For what purpose? Ring? Pendant?
 
I don't consider it "low" color either. I have a diamond ring in K-L color! I was just asking, like M or so. Considering my options! :bigsmile:
 
& Sorry forgot to mention.. For a solitaire ring! :lickout:

I have an M -- it faces up quite white, but you can definitely see the tint in the second pic.

I'd choose the OEC (as long as it had a pretty facet pattern and didn't have a culet you could drive a truck through, though those are my personal preferences) -- I don't really like the busyness of MRBs, if that makes any sense. They're just *too* perfect for me. ;)

That just comes down to personal preference. Have you seen an OEC in person? If not, I'd try to go see one. My guess is you'll know which you prefer as soon as you see them side by side.
 
Pure question of preference. I am partial to modern round brilliants, myself.
 
IMO,(and with no photos or details) having owned RB's in the past and now sport a princess cut, I'd go OEC. MRB H&A are gorgeous - flashes and flickers of fire all over the place and that colour/clarity sounds awesome. But now that I've been on PS for a while and have learned about so many other cuts/styles... I'd be all over an OEC! I really love their chunks of fire.

Good luck - what direction are you leaning in at the moment? HAve you chosen 2 stones that you are deciding between?

Agreed you need to see them in person before you decide
 
It's like comparing apples and oranges, really. I love both and would like to have both. But finding an OEC with the optics of a H&A will be tough unless you go with an August Vintage Round. That would be a more equal comparision to a H&A rb. In that size range, you can find an OEC for a lower price than a H&A or AVR, though.
