Hey All,

I know that several of you have had good luck helping others find things, so I'm asking for help! I've lost some EXTREMELY important papers and I cannot for the life of me find them. I cannot remember where I put them, nor when I last saw them. I know that they are all together, as the one that is where its supposed to be is in its safe spot. Sorry for being vague, but there are also shot records in this package.

Any prayers or if you have any idea of where I may have put them, please shout out! I have searched the expected spots: under bed, bedside shelves, cleaned the ENTIRE closet, cubbie where I put lots of stuff....HELP!

Did they fall behind your desk?
Did you file them in the wrong folder/ cabinet?
Could they be in the car?
Do you put paperwork in your nightstand? Or other drawer in your house?

I'll check behind my desk, I did check behind the cubbie, checked the car, I don't have a nightstand only shelves, but checked hubby's bookshelf on his side....hrmmm... Other drawers, already checked the dressers.... Thanks for the ideas!

How thick is the stack of documents?
Are they stapled / clipped / inside a large manila envelope - or folded up / tucked inside a business-size envelope?

If it is a thicker stack of 8.5x11" paper, then I'd check to see:
- if it is with your tax documents, or your insurance documents, or with your box of memorabilia / photos / momentos
- in your magazine stack / slipped in with your wrapping paper supplies / sid in-between any similar-sized boxes

If it is the size of a business envelope, then I'd check where you actually keep your envelopes and paper goods, your stack of pending bills, your passports/birth certificates

And generally -
the top or bottom of your closet(s)
underneath the stuff in dresser drawers
anywhere you keep like-sized paper stuff

I know this sounds crazy but my 2 year old put my tax return file in the freezer once. Do you have little ones that can run away with things? If so then my answers can really get a bit more creative.

Little of column A and little of column B. They are roughly the size of a business envelope but are in a sheet protector. I did find one important document, but not the stack. I have searched closet (read: take everything out and reorganize), cleaned my desk, cleaned under the couches (and took out the cushions), checked the tax/insurance docs, been checking photo boxes. Sigh.
