Help me find shoes!

It's possible that I may have to order my dress hem to hollow (?) depending on the dress I get. In that case I'd like to already have my shoes. The requirements will basically be the same no matter what dress I get and will probably limit my selection. My FI is about an inch shorter than me when we are flat footed. I want the flattest shoes possible! I'd prefer white. (Though I may consider pink) I am concerned about flip flops. I don't know that you'd "hear" them, but what if my dress catches between my foot and the shoes? Anyone have issues with that? April wedding, would prefer sandals, or more open shoes. I'm open to all suggestions! I have looked and looked and nothing has stood out at me. All help is MUCH appreciated. TIA!
