Help me find a setting.......

Ok so my next project......resetting my old engagement diamond. It''s probably like a .30carat maybe a tad larger. I''d like to re set it into a ring and wear it on my right hand however I don''t mind if it''s bridal looking. I''m not quite sure what to do...I would like a setting with sidestones....and LOVE halo''s. I don''t know if a small diamond would look good in a halo though? Then again I like the simpler catherdal styles too....anyway....i''m looking for a setting eithier with sidestones or if plain, the engraved antique look. I would like it to be white gold. I am looking to not really go over $500. Think that can be done??

stuller 3 stone setting in 14k w/y with small sapphire sides is doable for $500
I like the trillants myself but rounds are kewl 2.

I like Storms idea of sapphire sides. Would make the diamond pop!!

I also even thought about getting my diamond reset into a plaiin solitaire band and getting a guard/wrap to do something like this:

sometyhing like this in white gold with sapphires and a 6 prong head added would be kicken.
