Hi - I saw a ring a year ago in a jewelry store and I have been back twice since (I think they are trying to find it for me now), but they seem as if they don''t want to tell me what/where it was - they''ll just ''order'' it for me. Sounds as if it comes from a designer and not a casting place or large broker, but that is just from the sounds of it, they are kind of shady about it.
It''s hard to describe, but I''m going to try and see if any of you experts out there have seen it before:
It is white gold and appears as a regular tension setting as seen from the top. Except, to produce the two sides that create the tension setting are actually two different (on each side) thinner arms that have pave set diamonds that spiral up to to create the block on the top (so 4 arms total). These two arms are only the length of the setting, so by the time they actually hit the top of the finger, it stops to be plain white gold along the sides. There is also a circular pave base that sits right below the bottom of the diamond (on the finger). )The two spirals meet at the bottom to create the circle.)
It sounds very fancy and high - but it''s not, it''s very low profile and actually is a pretty low setting. The center stone was only about .46 and I think with the pave diamonds on the side it came to be a carat or just about. It is most likely a channel setting and not really a tension setting (because of the circle on the bottom).
Anyone know anything like this or a designer that would have produced it? Seen it around ANYWHERE?
THANKS!
