Hi AJ
What about this one? http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/4315/ 1.52, K, si, HCA 1.4
I''m not sure if it''s a great diamond (kind of new to this), so sorry if I''ve suggested a bad one, but to my untrained eyes, I thought it looked interesting, I realise it is a colour lower than you were considering, but it is quite large
31.gif
and I thought I''ve read that fluorescence make lower diamonds appear whiter?

Anyways, just thought I''d throw it out there! (Sorry it if it''s a bad suggestion)

I love your POH and reckon you should keep it!
Bling A, thats an amazing stone you found! I am also very new to this, but that one looks boootiful.
Unfortunately, its probably a good $500 more than I''m aiming to spend, though

I have also been checking out this K stone http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/3334/
and the thing is, my "mind clean" level is a J, but I think I''m going to consider a K and get jon to do a vid for me. Both have med fluor, so maybe they''ll look closer to a J anyway..(fingers crossed)

I love my PoH too!! However with the size of stone''s we''ve been looking at, I can''t afford to keep both. Then it would be closer to 1ct that I''d be looking at if wanted to keep both..
So this is where my dilemma lies!
....but it is a nice one to have though

You could also have him run it through the color grade machine to see if it''s possibly a high K.

Pretty stone!

AArrghhh! Strm, playing Devil''s Advocate!!

So your vote would be:
keep PoH for RH, get a ~1ct RB as ering upgrade, wear current ering also on RH.

OR..

trade in PoH, get ~1.35+ RB as upgrade, wear current ering on RH...

If you love the POH keep it if you dont trade it in is my advice.
Too me a .35 gain dont seem worth trading in a stone that is loved.

Thanks Ellen for the link, I had read this before but forgot - i may have to ask Jon to check out a K or two for me...

Strm, cheers for the opinion.
I remember a previous post somewhere that said a diamond needs to be about 20% larger for us to be able to notice a difference - ie. a 1ct is only going to be Really noticeable from a 1.3ct..as in no point really getting a 1.15 etc..?
Do you know or recall if this is correct?

tia!

I think that is a reasonable idea. I wouldn''t do less than 1.3 from a 1 ct.

Reading back through your thread, I think my preference (for myself) would be to trade the PoH and go with one of the 1.3 ct. stones perhaps in a higher color like H or I. Since you''ll wear your three stone ring on your right hand and the new round for an e-ring, I really wonder how much you''d wear your PoH. I''d trade it for one that would be worn all the time.

Then which diamond or diamonds would get put in a pendant for even more bling bling?

Great point, Storm!!! The POH would make a pretty pendant!

Thankyou DS and Strm.....for adding more confusion!
40.gif

No no, I'm just kidding!!
thanku DS for your opinion, I'm leaning toward that thinking too - it'l be a shame as I am very fond of the PoH though..I guess there's alot to be said for buying within the same country and being able to really decide during your return period! Oh well, at least I have the concession of somehow escaping the tax on the PoH .

I would like to keep both, but don't think its entirely practical. At least I will have my yummy rose gold setting - any suggestions on what colour gems to put with RG?
11.gif

ha ha, I will decide one thing at a time...currently waiting for Jon's say on the ones we've been looking at, and whether there are any good si2/s around in this size..
I think once I have seen **"the stone"** I will know what I want to do...

....I hope!!
