Hi Pricescopers!
I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on a ring for my lady. I am hoping to get this ring by Christmas. We have narrowed down the requirements to the following:
Setting:
>Size 5
>Victorian Halo with or without paving
>Cushion shaped
>Single Shank
>White gold 14ct
Diamond:
>Single MODERN cut Diamond between .7-.9 ct
>VS1 to SI1
>Cut Quality: Very Good - Excellent
>Color: D-J
>Flourescence: Faint-None
>Polish: Very Good - Excellent
>Symmetry: Very Good - Excellent
>Budget $5000
Now, I have become a fan of good cut quality since starting my research. The lady, on the other hand, just wants it sparkly
I have been looking at ASET images and using the Holloway Cut Advisor, which has just caused more confusion on my end. I really like the look of the hearts and arrows diamonds, but if I can save some money getting a non branded cut that has good cut quality, then I'm all for that. I really just want this thing to sparkle,
Here is the setting we like from Gabriel:

Here are some stones:

http://www.goodoldgold.com/ecommerce/0-7ct-h-vs2-superior-round-hearts-and-arrows-diamond.html
So, what do you guys think? This setting is out of stock on Gabriel's website, so I fear I may not be able to get it soon. Do you know of any similar settings?
