Hi all, Ive been lurking around these forums for quite some time now and being that I''ve made my e-ring purchase I wanted to get an idea as to how I made out. Please, constructive criticism is welcome. I still have a 30 day grace period for return....

My purchase was made through bluenile only because of a setting that I couldn''t seem to find anywhere else and it was exactly what the gf had in mind. Anyway on to the specs.

I tried to stay within my budget which I seemed to do quite well. I was looking for something in the 5 to 7K range that wasn''t going to put me into a bind with house savings as well as weddings etc.. I''m sure there are plenty of people that understand this.

1.06 Princess Cut
Cut = Very Good
Color = H
Clarity VVS2
Depth = 70.2%
Table = 70%
Symmetry = Very Good
Polish = Very Good
Girdle = Slightly Thick to Very Thick
Culet = None
Fluorescence = None
Measurements = 5.8 x 5.7 x 4.0
L/W Ratio = 1.02

I had done some research and after months of playing around with the sorting options on blue nile I decided to bite the bullet on this stone. I''m sure it''s not the best by far but it was what I could afford. Your thoughts?

Welcome!

It is very difficult to judge without a picture of the diamond, but see what you think when it arrives, or do you already have it? If it isn''t to your liking then you can return it as BN do have a good return policy, but hopefully that won''t be necessary! Did you want such high clarity? The reason I mention it, is because you could drop to VS comfortably and still have a very eyeclean diamond, but this is a personal preference.

To be completely honest with you, I started looking in the VS area but for some odd reason it just so happened that this diamond was a vvs spec. So with that said, it just happened by chance.

On top of that, I completely understand your comment about "not having a picture" this was my biggest internal conflict about the purchase. Don't have the ring yet, should have it tomorrow. I guess I'm getting a little nervous

I understand, have been there! Don''t worry too much, there is every chance it will be a pretty diamond and you will love it! If not, then I understand BN are no problem with returns, so you will be fine!

Buyer''s remorse is one of the most awful feelings! It sounds like you made an informed decision and I bet the diamond is going to be gorgeous!

Thanks for all the kind words, I feel better already.

Here are a few pics of the setting (Platinum with princess / baguette side stone mix).
